Curious Nashville: How Well Do You Know Our City’s Claims To Fame?

Sep 23, 2019

Nashville may be known as Music City USA — and, for a few years now, also as the “it city” for tourism — but how did these nicknames begin?

And if we’re examining what the city is known for, what are the essentials of hot chicken?

These big questions about the city, as well as inquiries from visiting tourists, prompted this special edition of Curious Nashville.

A trio of local experts took the stage at the PodX podcasting conference to share what they know in front of a live audience.

Listen along to hear from the Nashville Scene’s J.R. Lind, local food writer Jennifer Justus, and historian David Ewing.
