Introducing Local Composers Month, A Celebration Of Classical Music Created In Nashville

Jun 19, 2019

91Classical has long been committed to local music, whether through our daily Lunchtime Local playlist features, weekly in-studio performances from midstate musicians on Live In Studio C, our online coverage of what's happening in Nashville's classical music scene, and more.

That's why we're excited to introduce the first-ever Local Composers Month. All through July, celebrate the people writing classical music right here in Middle Tennessee by tuning into 91Classical for:

  • Local composers featured on Live In Studio C each week
  • Two brand new episodes of our podcast featuring Nashville composers
  • More local composers featured on our regular playlist during the weekdays
  • Q&As with local composers each week
  • Favorite material from our archives that shines a spotlight on local composers

And stay tuned for a big, exciting announcement coming July 1!

Local Composers Month on 91Classical is supported by the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University.
