Virtuoso Classical Guitar Series: Nicolo Spera

Italian guitarist Nicolo Spera opens the 2018-19 Virtuoso Classical Guitar Series at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music. Spera is a faculty member at University of Colorado-Boulder, as well as the study abroad program Renaissance in the XXI century in Florence, Italy. As a performer on both six- and ten-string guitar as well as theorbo, Spera brings a unique combination of European and American guitar traditions to the stage.

Trevecca: Jazz Field Day

Jazz Field day begins with a clinic at 10:30 am and wraps up with a concert at 1pm. This event features Derek Brown, the Sax Beat Box Guy, from Chicago. Brown is known for his innovative performing style, and use of extended techniques on the instrument. Nashville is one stop in his FiftyFifty tour, where within a year he will perform in all 50 US states.

Nashville Ballet: Swan Lake

Nashville Ballet opens its 20th season under the direction of Paul Vasterling with Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. This updated production includes choreography tweaks and new costumes for the swans combined with the same iconic score, performed by the Nashville Symphony.
